Dr. Gerald Lynch

Gerald LynchGerald Lynch, MD is a general surgeon, board certified by the American Board of Surgery, with a fellowship from the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Lynch graduated magna cum laude from Loyola University of Chicago in 1987, trained in all areas of general surgery, with a special interest in breast cancer, thyroid disease and advanced laparoscopic techniques. He completed his medical school training at Rush Presbyterian-St. Luke's Medical Center, graduating in the top 10% of his class. His internship and residency continued at Rush University Medical Center where he helped pioneer some of the minimally invasive techniques used in the treatment of breast cancer.

Dr. Lynch has won many awards over the past 17 years and has served as Department Chief of Surgery. He continues to attend regular national meetings and seminars to stay innovative in surgical techniques. Patient education and understanding are critical to his success.
